For the last 20 years Ross Mackay has been helping
businesses become more effective by doing the right
thing at the right time for the right reasons. He is an
established author, keynote speaker and workshop leader
who has informed, inspired and delighted audiences of
various cultures in
34
countries around the world.
Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, Ross graduated
from Stow College of Engineering at the same time as
pursuing a short-lived career as an entertainer. (There
wasn’t much of a future for an Elvis impersonator with a
Scottish accent!)
Since his immigration to Canada, Ross has enjoyed an
enviable career in Sales, Marketing and Engineering. An
acknowledged international expert in the pump
engineering field, Ross has helped thousands of
companies improve the effectiveness of their people and
saved them millions of dollars.
In addition, he has augmented this valuable experience
with 30+ years as an avid student of the power of the
intellect, culminating in the development of a process
for increased personal and corporate effectiveness.
Ross’ unique business experience, combined with his
personal warmth and irrepressible humor creates a
stimulating environment that leaves his audiences with
lasting skills to improve their personal and corporate
effectiveness.
Having served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian
Association of Professional Speakers for 4 terms, Ross
has been honored with the CAPS Service Award as well as
the CAPS President’s Award.
In August, 2007, “The Real Secret of Success” earned
Ross the Toastmasters International Accredited Speaker
Award for Professionalism and Outstanding Achievement in
Public Speaking. Toastmasters International created the
Accredited Speaker Program in 1981 as a way to recognize
individuals whose public speaking skills are of the
highest professional caliber. Since its inception, only
58 individuals worldwide (of the more than 200,000
members) have received this Accredited Speaker
designation.
The author of the book, “Humor is No Laughing Matter”
and co-author of the audio program “Rules are Made to be
Broken”, Ross is also the creator of the audio program
for aspiring professional speakers, “Finding Your
Voice”. |
